Directions for Use
1. Monolaurin Pellets
(We prefer monolaurin pellets for purity and cost savings per serving.) If you have not been on antibiotics recently, we recommend building up to a full dose of Monolaurin over a few weeks. A full dose for an average weight adult (180# or more) adult would be 3 scoops of pellets (3 tsp. / 9,000 mg) per day. Adjust dosage for lower weights compared to a 180# adult, (ex. the full dose for a 60# person would be 1 scoop.)
We’d suggest starting with 1 scoop (1 tsp.) a day, with a meal, for 5 days. (People extra sensitive to bacterial die-off can start with even less.)
After 5 days, if there are no Herxheimer reactions (see below), increase to 2 scoops, 1 scoop with the morning and evening meals, for another 5 days.
Again, if there are no reactions, increase to 3 scoops spread out during the day with meals. (Many people that have had antibiotics recently are able to move up to 3 scoops faster.)
If there is a Herxheimer reaction (information below), simply stop taking the monolaurin for a day or two. It doesn’t take long for the liver, etc., to eliminate the dead bacteria. Then, start up again at a lower dose and slowly build-up again.
2. Bio-Fibrin (Biofilm Enzymes)
After getting up to the full dose of Monolaurin, start adding the Bio-Fibrin enzymes with a similar gradual build-up plan. It is best to take the enzymes first thing in the morning, and/or before bed, on an empty stomach, waiting 35 minutes before eating. You can take them with water, juice or coffee if there is not any protein in it (ex. no milk in the coffee).
Start with 1 capsule a day and every few days, if no Herxheimer reactions, you can increase by 1 capsule, up to 5 capsules a day for a full-size adult. (Again, we are using a slow build-up simply to give enough time for the dead bacteria and released toxins to be filtered out by the body.)
3. In-Focus (Mind and Memory)
This can be started at the same time as the Monolaurin. In-Focus does not have gradual start-up requirements; simply follow the container’s directions. They can be taken with or without food. For better sleep do not take before bedtime – an active mind isn’t too interested in sleeping.
(Caution: Inform your doctor first if you are taking pharmaceutical drugs for depression.)
Possible Adjustment 1: Herxheimer (Herx) Reactions
Monolaurin is very good at killing bacteria; and the Bio-Fibrin at dissolving biofilms. As we said, we recommend taking a few weeks or more to build up to a full dosage.
When you kill bacteria and dissolve biofilms, the normal job of the liver, kidneys, and skin is to filter the dead bacteria and toxins out of the blood. Occasionally, the bacteria are killed faster than the body can filter them out (or, a person has an extra sensitive body). The body sees the dead cells as an invasion and calls up the immune system. The person can then experience some ‘gunky’ flu-like symptoms often called “Herx” reactions.
One bottle of the Body Detox can help reduce these initial symptoms if they occur. Or, a person can simply go at a more gradual build up speed up to a full dose. This allows the organs plenty of time to filter the first rush of bacteria and toxins out of the body.
Possible Adjustment 2: Low Stomach Acid
It happens occasionally (especially as we age) that a person has low stomach acid. It is one reason that some people have trouble digesting certain foods they had no problem with when younger. If people are not getting the results they should, or see any pellets in their stools, low stomach acid is often the problem.
Fortunately, it is fairly easy to resolve. Three of the nationally known doctors we follow, independently, had the same recommendation – Zypan.
