“Harmless” skin ingredients can destroy your skin
and add years to your appearance.
There’s a dirty little secret hidden in skin care products. The secret is there are ingredients that manufacturers tell you are completely harmless. In fact, you’ll find them in some of the most expensive products out there.
The truth is these ingredients are not just bad for your skin. They destroy your complexion and cause you to look years older. Lab studies show they can trigger redness, acne, enlarged pores, irritation – and more!
Check the label: do your skin care products include any of these harmful ingredients?
Sodium Laurel Sulfate, Sodium trideceth sulfate: Any ingredient that ends in “sulphate” should raise your suspicions. Why? Because “sulfate” is a fancy name for soap. While sulfates are effective for cleansing away dirt and impurities, they also strip your skin of its natural moisture. That leads to dryness and the destruction of perfectly healthy skin cells.
PEG- 30 dipolydrydroxystearate, PEG-120 Methyl Glucose Dioleate: These synthetic polymers are a very popular skin care ingredient and are used to dissolve oil and grease. But did you know they’re also used in caustic spray-on oven cleaners? These petroleum-derived compounds can alter and reduce your skin’s natural moisture factor. This could increase the appearance of aging and leave your skin more vulnerable to harmful bacteria.
Mineral oil: Mineral oil is a popular and inexpensive base that’s derived from petroleum. It forms a coating that clogs pores and dissolves your skin’s natural oils. With regular use, it makes your skin chapped, hard and dry.
Diethanolamine (DEA), Triethanolamine (TEA): These are commonly used as emulsifiers and foaming agents. DEA and TEA can irritate the eyes and dry out skin and hair. When exposed to the air they form “nitrosoamines,” which are toxic to the cardiovascular system, lungs and digestive tract.
Methylparaben, Propylparaben: Parabens are popular additives because they dramatically extend shelf life. But they are very dangerous substances because they mimic the effects of estrogen and cause long-term damage to cells. They have also been shown in studies to release potentially cancer-causing chemicals. If it says “paraben” on the label, avoid it.
Diazolidinyl Urea: A preservative to help prevent bacterial growth. It can trigger contact dermatitis. It may also release formaldehyde, a potentially toxic chemical.
Red 3, Yellow 5 (Ci 19140): Whether synthetic colors are completely safe or mildly damaging in the long run is unknown. Since they serve no useful purpose, they are best avoided.
What’s even worse is that skin care companies know what they’re doing. But they do it anyway. Why? Because it makes it cheaper for them to produce their products and, in the short term, it works. But over the long term, your skin pays a terrible price.
This means you’ll see more – not fewer – signs of aging. More wrinkles … more age spots … more crow’s feet and sagging skin… and deeper “laugh lines”. (I don’t find them funny. I’m sure you don’t either!)
I am aware of countless lotions, gels, and medical treatments claim to provide “the answer” for restoring young, moist skin. Most people can never find a product that worked as well as hyped. It didn’t matter how much they cost, either.
Some products don’t list all of the ingredients. Most products included ingredients that can dry out your skin, trigger allergic reactions, or cause blotches and breakouts that make you look even older!
A Medical Bonus: Skin Defense Includes Skin Help!
We encountered this while working to find natural ingredients to fight MRSA staff infections. (We were successful in doing this – and our Ultimate Skin Defense proved to be even effective against all bacterial infections!)
However, we wanted our Skin Defense to also contain natural ingredients that would nourish the skin and encourage it to heal properly.
1. First of all, we wanted it to be as close to 100% natural as possible. No chemicals, no petroleum-based oils, no surfactants, just pure, high quality natural ingredients.
2. Next, it had to be safe, gentle, easy to use, and achieve the kind of results we could really notice.
3. Finally, it had to include the most advanced skin science nutrients known to hydrate, nourish, and protect aging skin (thus making it look years younger, too).
It wasn’t easy. It took months of searching to find a combination of natural antibacterial ingredients to also combine with skin nourishment nutrients. The good news is that the antibacterial nutrients for the Skin Defense turned out to actually help heal skin, becoming a very effective anti-aging skin treatment formula!
This is due to a new understanding in plant stem cells. Stem cells are called “master cells” because they regenerate damaged tissue and help the body repair itself. There’s a lot of controversy surrounding the use of human stem cells.
However, did you know that plants also have stem cells?
Plant Stem Cells
These miracle compounds are helping skin look younger again! Products featuring plant stem cells are just appearing on the market. The first product cost over $1,000 for less than an ounce. Another European brand cost $500. Former First Lady Michelle Obama is reported to use a similar stem-cell product to keep her skin young, fresh and glowing – for a mere $300 a jar.
Skin Probiotics Protect Your Skin’s Delicate Balance
Your skin is also home to “good bacteria,” often called probiotics. They are essential to help your skin look and feel healthy. They also help fight off irritants and germs that trigger breakouts and blotchiness.
But today’s popular anti-bacterial soaps strip away the good bacteria and oils along with the bad. Without enough good bacteria, your skin becomes thin, dry and fragile. Visible signs of aging become more obvious, too.
Plants battle bad bacteria as we do, but they also need good probiotic bacteria. Our antibacterial ingredients include therapeutic grade plant essential oils that are friendly to skin probiotics. We also include monolaurin and phospholipid fatty acids and proteins from coconut oil that are also needed nutrients for healthy skin.
Our base formula includes: jojoba oil, coconut oils, neem oil, and vitamin E.
As people saw the infections disappear, their cells were also drinking in the nutrients they so desperately needed. It was as though healthy skin was just waiting to get out. People saw expression lines fade, under eye circles appear lighter, and annoying crow’s feet begin to fade.
Soaps and Conditioners
As we saw these skin improvements, we decided to add the same active ingredients to an antibacterial foaming soap and conditioners – with similar skin nourishing ingredients to the base formula. While not quite at a “heath spa face-pack” intensity level, these products do not attack healthy skin bacteria like commercial soaps. They leave a nourishing, protective film that promotes healthy skin.
Within a few short weeks, people notice it. Their skin feels better, softer and not so dry. They also leave a slight hint of the pleasant aroma of pleasant herbs. You may say hello to radiant, soft, and brighter skin that will help you look years younger than your true age.
Let’s face it. When it comes to fighting off the effects of aging skin, you want to give yourself the best possible chance. Within a few short weeks, our Antibacterial Skin Defense and Dandruff Defender can give you the kind of natural, youthful beauty other people only dream about — and other skin care products simply can’t provide.
You deserve the best — and we want to help you look 10 years younger too. Why not see and feel the results for yourself?
